“Refusing the Anthropocene 2.0: Compost” at FiLMS for World Peace FESTiVAL!

I wholeheartedly welcome the convergence of the results of collective productions in this direction!
There is a stubborn resistance, rendered invisible amidst the concrete of urban life.
The silent struggle of urban farmers and activists to transform food waste, which the linear and exploitative economic system imposes on us as "garbage," into a resource that nourishes the soil.
This time, we turned our camera not to landfills, the end of the linear economy, but to composting areas, where circularity begins. In our documentary, *Anthropocene Rejection v2.0: Compost* , we juxtaposed the radical potential of restoring the soil with enormous crises such as methane emissions and carbon footprint.
We have tried to explain how composting, starting as a matter of organic waste, transformed into an anti-systemic political act through the personal stories of these activists.
Today, I am here to announce that, after months of planning, this story of resistance has resonated on an international platform: Our film has been selected for the FiLMS for World Peace FESTIVAL .
For us, peace means not just the silencing of weapons, but also the end of our exploitative relationship with the planet and its inhabitants. FiLMS for World Peace advocates for community building and diversity of perspectives through cinema.
The festival's vision of transforming conflict into reconciliation perfectly aligns with our struggle to transform waste back into soil. Preventing food waste from going to waste is a clear rejection of the linear system. Presenting this rejection to the audience as part of a global narrative of "peace" is the greatest proof that the film's message is on the right track.
This year, the festival took place online from September 18th to October 3rd, 2026. You know that day. Until then, let's keep our hands on the earth and our minds on the cyclical.
