Nepal: The Living Child Goddess (Kumari) and a Country in the Year 2082

Hi everyone! On my YouTube channel, we continue to explore different countries around the world, their hidden cultures, and surprising facts.

This video offers not just a tourist trip to Nepal, but also an in-depth cultural exploration. We're turning our route towards Nepal, home to the roof of the world and its highest mountains. As we walk through the streets of Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Lumbini, where tradition and modernity, tranquility and rebellion intertwine, we will witness the incredible stories of this land.

We take a closer look at the tradition of the child goddess "Kumari," who is believed to return to Earth every 7-8 years and find a baby girl to incarnate into. So, how are these 3-5 year old Newar Buddhist girls, believed to be the reincarnation of Goddess Taleju, chosen? What happens during those dark rituals where they are tested with 108 severed heads?
